Museum 2020

A piece of speculative design represented through the form of an Architectural model. Re-imagining how will the citizens of Hong Kong interact with museums in 2020 with consideration of population, cultural priorities, density etc. The prototype model presents one underground museum which brings user's down a memory lane of that districts history and heritage. Without interfering with the citizens busy lives and densely built buildings, the entrance to the museum takes place in a cubicle similar to HK's MTR entrances. Through a flashback bullet elevator, the user will be transported to the floor of the underground museum. To make history and heritage closer to the citizens, I want to built a series of museums based on the geographical location of the MTR stations showcasing each district's own history, as an alternative non conventional passage citizens can use to access the MTR station.
